I know it is too late to ask for help for the Hollidays. We just got notified that my husgand lost his job yesterday. So the worse part of that is the loss of insurance. With the children having rare medical issues we have to go outside of Ohio to get our medical help. If we get thekids on medicaid that helps with some things but itwill not help with our specialists. This winter my youngest 2 and I were goingto the geneticist in Baltimore for treatment and catagorizing on their EDS. My daughter is only 18 a senior in high school and says her body feels like she is 80. Her joints keep popping out left and right. We have braces for everything but her hips and her fingers. My son has EDS also and he keeps having the same issues. He is mostly on bed rest due to themany brain surgeries he has had this past year. To make along story short if we were to let the local docs do what they wanted to do my son would not be here with us now. So we have faith in their specialists., The docs here want to work on Nate due to the fact that they can say they have experience and with this being rare they just want to see for their selfs what is going on. But in the mean time he can come out a vegetable or not come out at all.
I am asking any one out there if they could see it in their heart that we can get some help for groceries and or a present for our youngest children. Jessica is 18 and hopes to go to college next fall. She likes girlie things and she has a favorite word that is Dream. She would love anything she would receive. Nate is a gamer. That is mostly all he can do is play games from his bed. Both of our children know that we can not afford to buy any presents this year. But it still hurts me to not be able to provide them with something.
Thank you for reading this and please if anything say a prayer that we can make it through and the children can get the medical help they so deserve.
Thank you
Kellie
